Merge Fields for Items

These are Merge Fields specific to Item Word Merge Templates. If these Merge Fields are set up in your Word document they will be populated with the given information from Greater Giving Online. 

  • TableStart:Items- Starts the Merge loop for Items. Any content before this tag will not be repeated.
  • TableEnd:Items- Ends the Merge loop for Items. Any content after this tag will not be repeated.

Table Start and Table End are required for the Event Software Online to correctly Merge your data.

Item Specific Merge Fields:

  • ItemNumber- Inserts the item number.
  • ItemName-Inserts the item name.
  • ItemDescription- Inserts the item description.
  • ItemRestrictions- Inserts the item restrictions.
  • ItemDonors- Inserts the item donor.
  • ItemValue- Inserts the item value.
  • ItemSection- Inserts the item section.
  • ItemCategory- Inserts the item category.
  • ItemType- Inserts the item type.
  • ItemLocation- Inserts the item location.
  • ItemSolicitor- Inserts the item solicitor.
  • ItemPackageName- If the item is in a package, inserts the item package name.
  • ItemPackageNumber- If the item is in a package, inserts the item package number.
  • ItemDateReceived- Inserts the date which the item was received by your organization.
  • ItemCost- Inserts the item’s cost to your organization.

Miscellaneous Merge Fields:

  • PageBreak- Forces a page break at the Merge Field.
  • ProjectImage- Adds the Project Image (set up in your Project Settings) to the document.


The following Merge Fields are used to show or hide portions of the Word document. This is useful for when some of your items may not have donors or restrictions.

If_ItemDonors- If your item has donors.

If_ItemDescription- If your item has a description.

If_ItemRestrictions- If your item has restrictions.
