Using Segments

Segments can be useful when managing a multi-tiered event, like an event that spans several days.

  1. From the Project Home, click Project Settings under the Project Tasks header.
  2. Click on the Segments tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Type Segment Name and any notes.

Segments are used to separate out sales. They are user defined and can mean different things. One use could be for multi-day events to use a different segment for sales on each day. It could also be used to distinguish pre, during and post event sales or to express affectivity of sales.  For example: sales for this fiscal year vs. the last fiscal year.

It is not recommended to use auction sections in the Segments settings because those are already handled separately.
