Setting up your Bid Sheets

Bid Sheets are typically printed before your event and have spaces available for bidders to record their name and/or bidder number for either set amounts or written in bids. Setting up your Bid Sheets is a two-step process where we first set the algorithm to determine the calculations for your Bid Sheets, and then we print them. Below, we cover both steps needed to Set Up Bid Sheets.

Calculating Bid Sheets:

  1. From the Project Home, click Set up Bid Sheets under the Project Tasks header.
  2. Choose if you want a Guaranteed Purchase Price and Increments.
    • Guaranteed Purchase Price ensures a Buy it Now option is available for your packages. Uncheck this to turn Buy it Now off.
    • Increments determine the amount that each bid is required to increase.
  3. Click Next.
  4. If using Increments, determine how the raise percentage is computed.
    • The first option is a flat rate percent applied to all packages.
    • The second option computes the rate percentage per package evenly based on the guaranteed purchase price and minimum bid. You must determine how many bid boxes you want (which determines the percentage).
  5. Click Next.
  6. Determine if High-Value Packages will be used. High-Value Packages can be set to use a different metric when setting minimum bid, minimum raise, and guaranteed purchase price. You determine at what point a package is considered High Value by entering a dollar value into the High Values field.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Determine the Percentage and Nearest Rounded Dollar amount of the Minimum Bid, Minimum Raise, and Guaranteed Purchase Price.
    • If using High-Value Packages, you will also have to calculate those percentages and nearest rounded dollar amounts.
  9. Click Next.
  10. The wizard will inform you that all packages will be recalculated except for ones that have been manually “unlocked” ( 1234412.gif next to the Minimum Bid, Raise, and Guaranteed Purchase).
  11. Click Finish to finish the process of setting up your bid sheets.

 

Printing Bid Sheets:

  1. From the Project Home, click View/Edit Packages under the Packages header.
  2. Filter your Packages as you see fit.
    • Common Filters include using the Package Type drop down to select Auction Packages or using the Show Advanced Search button to search on Section, Class, or a range of Numbers.21241.jpg
  3. Click Reports & Exports in the toolbar.
  4. Click Run on Grid Selection for one of our BID-06: Bidsheet reports.
    • Each bid sheet has the same advanced options, but slightly different orientation. Click the green check mark to the right for more information.
  5. Configure your Settings for the Report. These are all visual based settings.
  6. Click Next to generate your Bid Sheets using the settings specified.
